How to Measure Your Ring Size

Option 1: Measure a Ring You Already Own

The easiest way to find your size is by measuring a ring that already fits the intended finger.

  1. Place the ring on a ruler or measuring tape.
  2. Measure the inside diameter of the ring in millimetres (mm). Measure straight across the centre from one inside edge to the other.
  3. Compare your measurement with the guide below.
Inside Diameter US Size
15.7 mm 5
16.5 mm 6
17.3 mm 7
18.1 mm 8
18.9 mm 9

Option 2: Measure Your Finger

If you don't have a ring to measure, you can easily measure your finger.

  1. Wrap a thin strip of paper or a piece of string around the base of your finger.
  2. Make sure it fits comfortably—not too tight or too loose.
  3. Mark where the ends overlap.
  4. Lay the paper or string flat and measure the length in millimetres.
  5. Compare your measurement with the guide below.

Helpful Tips

  • Measure your finger at the end of the day, when it is naturally at its largest.
  • Avoid measuring cold fingers, as they tend to be smaller than usual.
  • Fingers on your dominant hand may be slightly larger than those on your other hand.
  • If you're between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size for a more comfortable fit.
  • Wider bands generally fit more snugly, so sizing up may provide a better fit.
